SickKids Centre for Community Mental Health (SickKids CCMH) is a community-based children’s mental health centre providing prevention, in-home support, day treatment, outpatient assessment and treatment and residential support to children ages birth to 18.  SickKids CCMH is integrated with the Hospital for Sick Children (HSC) inpatient and ambulatory mental health services for children. As a stand-alone community-focused agency SickKids CCMH is working with the Hospital for Sick Children to create pathways to care that will ensure that children with mental health concerns and mental illness and their families are able to access the care they need in a timely fashion.  SickKids CCMH is an accredited teaching facility affiliated with the University of Toronto.
 
 
We are currently seeking applicants for a full-time permanent 1.0 FTE Staff Psychologist.  This position will be based in our Latency Day Treatment program at our Sheppard site and will also collaborate with the Intensive In-home team as well as provide assessment and treatment.  This position involves working with children, ages 6-12 and their families who have a range of complex mental health, behavioural and learning challenges.  The successful candidate will work closely within an interprofessional team comprised of Child and Family Therapists, a consulting Psychiatrist, as well as Child and Youth Care Practitioners, Teachers and consulting Occupational Therapists to provide psychological services.  The Psychologist will be expected to provide clinical leadership and support to both day treatment and in-home teams particularly with respect to assessment, case formulation, consultation, treatment planning and direct treatment. 
 
This position reports to the Manager of Intensive Services, Day Treatment and Intensive In-home and, for practice related issues, reports to the Director of Interprofessional Practice and Specialized Service.
