Community Mental Health Program

WSIB, 200 Front Street West, Toronto, ON
The Workplace Safety and Insurance Board and Ontario Psychological Association have collaborated to jointly host a session focused on Occupational Mental Illness.  This is the first in a series of educational sessions under the Community Mental Health Program.

Dr. Althea Monteiro, Dr. Jonathan Douglas, Dr. Jason Ramsey and Dr. Faith Kaplan will be leading the session with a workshop on the Psychologist’s and Psychological Associate’s Role in Supporting Return to Work.  You will leave the workshop with material that will better support you in writing your reports for the WSIB, with respect to functional abilities, limitations and restrictions and collaboration around the return to work plan.

As a special feature, there will be an employer prospective, and opportunity presented, on how you can work closely with your Municipalities and local fire departments. Rob Martin, Deputy Fire Chief from Kitchener Fire Department and a guest speaker from the Association of Municipalities of Ontario will be leading this discussion.

There will be no cost to this session.  It  is open to all psychologists and psychological associates, whether or not they are a member of Ontario Psychological Association. They may be part of the Community Mental Health Network or may be interested in signing up.
