Ethical Anger Management: Working with mandated and non-mandated adults

SickKids Centre for Community Mental Health Learning Institute 114 Maitland Street Toronto, Ontario M4Y 1E1 Canada
Facilitator: Bonnie Miller, MSW., RSW.

Ethical approaches to anger are grounded in respectful relationships that see the person as separate from the problem of anger. Using a Narrative and Brief Therapy approach to developing skills with anger management, this workshop will explore in detail how to ethically support and motivate people mandated (and non-mandated) for anger management as they learn new strategies for dealing with disruptive anger patterns. Approaches for managing the physiology, the effects of anger patterns along with facilitating and supporting change in how people manage anger will also be covered.
