McMaster University - Psychotherapy Courses Available for January 2020

The Clinical Behavioural Sciences Program through the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences at McMaster University offers a range of psychotherapy courses targeted towards working professionals who are looking for introductory and advanced training across various psychotherapy orientations. The courses can be taken to fulfill the requirements for a Graduate Diploma or the courses can be taken individually for continuing your education. The courses include a focus on theory and heavily emphasize practical application of the skills being taught. The aim of the course is to be able to directly apply your learning to your ongoing clinical practice.

Upcoming courses for January 2020 include:

-          Introduction to Applied Behavioural Analysis and Therapy  (12 week courses)

-          Introduction to Group Facilitation  (12 week courses)

In addition, we offer extensive training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, that can be taken over three courses:

-          Introduction to CBT - Reviews CBT theory and application across mood and anxiety disorders

-          Advanced CBT - Observation and co-facilitation of a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Group for Anxiety and Mood Disorders

-          Consultation in CBT - Receive CBT case consultation on two clients (must bring own clients) from an expert clinician
