About Me
I am a Clinical and Counselling Psychologist registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. My credentials include a bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec and a Master's degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of Calgary. I have provided treatment/assessment services since 2009 for a variety of client issues with a trauma informed lens. I have conducted assessments for WSIB, Medical/Rehabilitation, Disability and Catastrophic Impairment for Independent Medical Examination purposes for both plaintiff and defense cases. I obtained my C-CAT (Mental/Behavioral) certification through CSME/CAPDA Catastrophic Training Certification Program.
In my practice, I provide therapy for adults and adolescents using a collaborative working relationship in which you are an active participant. My approach is within a multicultural framework which allows me to understand the universality and specificity of each client's unique cultural identity .
Together, we will work with evidence based treatments through a trauma informed lens to help you gain insight into the meanings attached to painful life experiences. By understanding the source of these meanings, they can be reframed and new meanings can be assigned. The objective is to help you better manage the residual psychological impact of specific life experiences.
